Virtual Museums
Digital objects of history
The National Archives: http://www.digitalvaults.org (and it has the really neat feature that students can make a “movie” to tell a story with the items they identify, or you can create a “treasure hunt”).
Titanic Exhibit: http://americanhistory.si.edu/onthewater/exhibition/5_3.html#Titanic
Museum Box: http://museumbox.e2bn.org/

Revolutionary War - http://timeline.americanrevolutioncenter.org This does a timeline of the war but shows objects from that period.
If you click on the object, it gives a little history of the object. For example, at the time of the Boston Tea Party (December 1773), the timeline shows a French Gorget. If you click on it, it would show a description. This might give some good examples to show what would be in a Revolutionary War time capsule.

I have taken a couple, they are not bad. I like them because it exposed me to new literature - which is still a need for me.
